Steven C. Atkins, Psy.D
Dr. Steve Atkins is a NH & VT licensed psychologist and school consultant whose practice focuses on a range of issues, including specific learning disabilities, ADHD, developmental theory, school-related mental health issues/policy and systemic theory. He maintains a private practice and also holds an adjunct position on the Dartmouth Medical School Faculty, where he provides lectures on systemic theory for the Fellows in the Department of Psychiatry. He consults for school districts where he fine-tunes school districts’ behavioral and Student Assistance Programs; leads social skills groups; presents to students, and addresses student’s mental health issues with school administrations and faculty. Dr. Atkins holds a Masters degree in Education from Harvard University and a Doctorate of Psychology from the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology. Dr. Atkins joined the Second Growth Board in September 2014.
William Brown, MA
Bill Brown is a psychotherapist and owner/partner at Confluence Behavioral Health in Thetford, VT. He has worked with young adults, adolescents and their families for over fifteen years in clinical, field and coaching capacities. He served as a Field Director at a prominent wilderness therapy program in Utah where he was an integral part of daily operation and program efficacy. As a program administrator in community mental health he brought non-traditional treatment methodologies, including wilderness experience, into the continuum of care with great success. Bill joined the Second Growth Board in August 2017.
Bridget Crowley-Brown is a certified massage therapist and the owner of Healthy Muscles Healthy Form. Bridget joined the Board in March 2017 and immediately took a key role in this year’s Spin-a-thon Fundraiser. Bridget and her husband Brian currently live in Grantham, NH.
Heather Cantagallo, M.Ed, Board Secretary
Heather Cantagallo is the principal of the Grantham Village Elementary School. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Keene State College, a Master of Education in School Administration, and a CAGS degree in Educational Leadership from Plymouth State University. Heather has been an educator for over 22 years, teaching at various grade levels and working as a school administrator. She has also worked as an adjunct faculty member for a graduate education program. Heather joined the Second Growth board in August of 2015.
Jim Damren is a graduate of Lebanon High School and earned his BA degree in English at Plymouth State College. He is an insurance agent with A.B. Gile, Inc. and has 26 years of experience in the industry. Jim has a passion for athletics, with a primary focus on youth sports, particularly hockey, and has been a coach for more than 30 years. He is a lifelong resident of Lebanon, NH and resides in West Lebanon with his wife Lisa and three sons Ryan, Nate and Aaron. Jim joined the Second Growth Board in September of 2013.
Peter Guillette, Board Chair
Peter Guillette is owner of ProMed Sales and Consulting, a pharmaceutical sales and consulting company. He serves as a commissioner and Treasurer on the Upper Valley Lake Sunapee Regional Planning Commission representing the Town of Grantham. Peter also serves the Town of Grantham on the Planning Board and Capital Improvement Committee and is an alternate on the Zoning Board. He previously served nine years on the School Board in Hanover, NH and served on the Planning Board in Claremont, NH. Peter lives in Grantham, NH with his wife Jacqui. He joined the Second Growth Board in 2011.
Jeff Libbey is a graduate of Hartford High School and a lifelong resident of the Town of Hartford. Jeff has been involved in Public Safety for thirty years and is currently the Assistant Fire Chief with the Lebanon Fire Department. He has an Associate Degree in Fire Science and Fire Engineering. He lives in Hartford, Vermont, with his wife Karen and his daughter Emma. Jeff is currently the Chair of the Midwestern Hazardous Materials Team, which covers 14 communities. Jeff joined the Second Growth Board in September of 2014.
Gabrielle Lucke, MS, Board Vice Chair
Gabrielle Lucke serves as the Director of Diversity Training & Educational Programs with Dartmouth College’s Office of Institutional Diversity & Equity. For over 25 years Gabrielle has served colleges and universities in many roles, including administrator, faculty member, health educator, and counselor. She earned a BS in Social Sciences from St Mary’s College of Maryland and an MS in Clinical Counseling from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania. She has also completed her doctoral course work in Health Education at the University of Maryland College Park and is a certified early childhood educator. Gabrielle frequently serves as a contracted consultant with the US Department of Education’s Office of Safe and Drug Free Schools. Gabrielle and her family live in Hartford where she recently served as a representative on her community’s Board of Education. Gabrielle joined the Second Growth Board in October of 2012.
Amber McGonis, CPA, Board Treasurer
Amber McGonis is a supervisor at Tyler, Simms & St. Sauveur in Lebanon, NH. She graduated from Bryant University with a B.S. in accounting in May 2008. Having grown up in the Upper Valley, Amber is now committed to the area and currently resides in Lebanon, NH with her husband and new baby. Amber has been serving our community on Second Growth’s board since September of 2013.
David Urso, MBA
David Urso is the Director of Residential Services at Kendal at Hanover, and serves as a member of Kendal’s Leadership Team, Strategic Planning Committee, and is the Chair of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee. In his role as Director of Residential Services, David oversees the departments of dining services, environmental services, and facilities. He is a 2017 graduate of Leadership Upper Valley. David joined the Second Growth Board of Directors in September 2017.
Heidi Postupack, Executive Director
Heidi Postupack joined Second Growth as Executive Director in July 2016, after spending 10 years in the Development Department at West Central Behavioral Health. She has over 25 years experience in fund development, marketing, business development and operations in both the profit and non-profit worlds, and is a 2017 graduate of Leadership Upper Valley. Heidi and her husband Jeff live in Hanover, NH where they raised two children and have been involved in a number of school, church, and community activities. Heidi currently serves on the board of the Hanover Rotary Club and as Chair of the Philanthropy Committee. Past volunteer activities including serving as Chair of the Hanover Finance Committee, and serving on the boards of The Coop Food Store and Parish Players.
