CHASING THE BUZZ: IDENTIFYING AND RESPONDING TO PRESRIPTION DRUG ABUSE AMONG ADOLESCSENTS AND YOUNG ADULTS

Robert Bryant will present a program for nurses and others who work with adolescents and young adults to increase their knowledge about prescription drug abuse in the youth and the implications for healthcare, education, legal, social service, recreation, and faith professionals. MAKING CHANGE: DEALING WITH ADDICTION

This training directed by Robert Bryant is for professional and volunteer staff interested in effectively working with youth on their substance abuse. The six hour training will explore "The Making Change" substance abuse support group model created and implemented by Second Growth. This model engages yong substance abusers and their friends in a critical and user-friendly dialogue about choices and the first stages of change. Cost: $119.
